Question 1998 Dodge Durango 4x4

Question.....Please Help??? Last Sunday on the 26th I called for a tow truck because my alarm wouldnt disarm, When the tow truck driver got there he connected these j hooks to the trans axle and broke the axle, tore the boot and my transmission started Pouring out transmission fluid from the main Seal....Per the tow truck driver .He states hes been doing this for thirty years and has no idea why the main seal broke per him he said they will take responsiblity for the axle and the boots but not the transmission...he states I must have been driving my durango like that for a while...my argument is it was leaking not even a drop prior, there would be signs where i park everyday, you would notice it while driving and if i was driving it this way with the main seal broke pouring out transmission fluid..I would have burned my transmission...please help...I need feedback!!

the tow truck company should be footing the ENTIRE bill here, chances are when he ripped the front axle out he shocked the whole driveline there is no way that they are not responsible.

also i wouldnt let this shop work on the truck, make them pay someone who knows what they are doing to fix it

That tow truck driver is an idiot. They have to pay for the entire thing. No way for him to prove that he didn't do that damage

I'll have to just agree with everyone else here. I don't know what kind of bloody moron would pull the truck by the CV axle, I guess it would be this guy. I agree on not letting these idiots fix it either, if they're stupid enough to cause that issue, they're too stupid to touch my truck for sure!

I drove towtruck and that is not the tow point. There are two slots in the main frame crossmember the t-hook goes in. The 4x4 should be flatbeded anyway unless t-case is in neutral. Even then most will disconnect the drive line.
