4x4 light and froze plug!
Hey guys i haven't posted anything yet but im always ready stuff on this forum and i LOVE IT!
anyways i got my durango about a month ago its a 99 and its 4x4! ive had to use the 4x4 about 3 times every time but the last time the 4x4 part time light came on. this time it didn't, But it still engaged, if you guys know of anything that might cause this light to stop working i would love to hear it. i just like to have it there to remind me since my D is only a part time 4x4 model i don't want to take it out on the road by accident and mess it up.
OK next question, i went to give it a tune up yesterday you know the usual plugs wires distributor cap and nipple, oil change. well i saved the plugs to do last and one is seized in there. i sprayed it with pb blaster last night and let it soak but im looking for any extra tips that might help me get it out. THANKS EVERYONE!

Does it have pt and ft? Does the light come on in low range? I believe the plug on the side of the t case is what turns the light on. Plug may be un plugged, dirty, bulb/led in the dash could be burnt out. If you are good with electrical stuff you could test to see if there is power at the bulb and work back to the t case. Or vise versa.

My Durango is only a PT, and it doesn't come on in low range. im going to check the plug tomorrow, it makes sense i drove down a trail that was nothing but grass that was about 3ft tall so i think that it could have came undone. THANKS FOR THE REPLY!!!
