Default It this what I should expect?

Hello
New here. Just bought a 2003 three seater Durango SLT and 3:55 rear with about 60 k on it. It is a 2wd with a 4.7 and factory trailer tow package. The story is that an 80 year old woman bought it new from this dealer in 2003. Seems she lost her licence at 91 (2012) and her kids made her sell it. She did.... to the dealer that sold it to her 10 years ago. This is where I came in. I bought it.
Did the usual things got an oil change, bought new set of tires (the tires on it were mismatched with 3 wranglers on the ground and one as a spare - . They looked like the originals tires. Replaced with 4 Hancook tires.
My question is I'm averaging about 14.5 mpg. I'm easy on the gas pedal ..
Is this what I should expect?

depends on what kind of driving you do, if its all city/around town and in hills then yea thats about right

if its straight highway you should be getting more like 17-18

Was hope for better around town but so long as I'm in the norm 'll live with it. Glad to find that that is about normal.
Does anyone do any towing with their's? We have a small twiin axle 18.5 foot travel trailer. Was told that it was 3010 lbs unloaded when we bought it. Next week hope to get it weighed at a truck stop on the way to Pahrump, NV. where we go camping. but I digress... on the computer have not seen much of a change in the milage but have not been able to tow much as we're doing "shack down" short trips with it but Pahrump should give a good idea as the total trip will be about 160 miles and there is a 16-18 mile hill (6% grade in parts) that we'll have to pass over to get there. There is a Dodge dealer in Pahrump and I plan to get our 2nd oil change when we do it.
Wish us luck will report back when we get back.

Did I ever mention that this is our 4th Dodge and 6th Chrysler product since 1999?

The overhead computer isn't the best way to get you MPG. You'll need to calculate it by hand if you want an accurate number since the overhead isn't usually very accurate
