Default blown belleville spring

so doing some maintenance for the coming winter months today i decided to change the diff fluids and while i was draining the rear diff and i pulled the cover off i found a couple pieces of metal in it. looking in the differencial it looks like the belleville spring on the drivers side broke and so did one of the retaining clips. so looks like the truck is parked again after less than being fixed one day ...

pulled the drivers side axle and the spider gears from the drivers side and the top and bottom of the carier. i have a rebuild kit ordered and on its way from ringandpinion.com ... the belleville spring is completely toast... broke into three pieces so its getting an overhaul... im glad that i decided to change the diff fluid today... was about to take it up in the mountains... that would have been a bad idea 0.o

Regular maintenance doesn't just keep everything running better, it also helps find issues before they get even worse.

looks like you have a lsd in the read and the clutch pack retaining clip is busted off too (the little piece above the broken part of the disc in the first picture)
