Same grade as you'd use with regular oil, they use 5w30.

filter must be changed with every oil change, some say to change it in btwn at 5k mile intervals but as long as your oil change is under the factory recommended 7500 miles i wouldnt worry about changing it any more often than the oil

I have heard/seen on bottles for many miles something like 10,000 to 25,000. Just change the oil filter

The 1st Gen Durango had a recommended oil change interval of 7500 miles from the factory?

Where did you get your signature from???

I saw a cartoon in Field & Stream or Outdoor Life many years ago that said exactly the same thing. with a helicopter lifiting a Jeep out of a swamp. Never forgot it.

Thanks a lot for the info guys, I think I got the picture. 5-30 And I change the filter and oil every 5 to 6000 miles. I'll try Pennziol Syn.

Thanks again
