Default Speedometer/ odometer ??

Hi there. I recently acquired a 99 Dodge Durango, 5.9 magnum. LOVE it so far, but the Speedometer/ odometer don't register/ count until I hit 30 mph. Any ideas on what to check? Thanks in advance, Leah

replace the rear wheel speed sensor and the transmission output speed sensors, they work together to provide a speedometer reading and tend to go bad together
