New to site I hace a 2000 Durango, with a 5.2 and 44re trans, need to replace Trans,anyone know what years will swap, can I use a 46RE, can it come any 5.2 or 5.8 Ie 1500/2500 pick up? Thanks in advance!!!!

You can use any 44RE or 46RE as long as it mated to a 5.2 or a 5.9 it should work. IIRC the Ram's, Dakota's , and the Durango's all share the same trans..

Just wondering, what is you trans doing that you feel you need a new one... Let us in on a little information and someone might be able to guide you into a fix that might save you having to replace it.

BTW, not to be mean or anything but including a title close to what the issue is might help us help you a little quicker and get you more responses...

if you can manually shift thru your gears and get each one you tranny isnt shot it just needs a solenoid or two. id check before you go get another transmission. might even be the wireing connectors on the outside of tranny. on the 46re its under the shift linkage on the tranny. just a thought
