Default Transmission I Think?

Hey guys so i got a 99 durango 4x4 with the 318, since got it, it sometimes shifts hard into 2nd other times its completely fine. now im sure that needs some looking into but im more curious about another problem haha. This has happend to me about the last 3 times i went to step on the Gas, say im going 40 i put my foot down not even to the floor NOTHING HAPPENS! my truck runs great has no motor problems that's why im thinking its transmission, its like the thing up shifts to the highest hear possible and sits there until i let off the gas. But after i do this and let off the gas its fine. I haven't tried that with the O/D off but i will as soon as i can, Have you guys had any problems like this? Or any ideas as to what it could be? thanks!

you may need to adjust your tv cable. there should be instructions in the diy/faq section

I agree, But would add maybe a front kick down band adjustment too. Have you check the fluid level and the condition of the fluid?

Thanks guys, ok MT i have checked my transmission fluid actually like 30 minuets before checking my email hah! i did check my fluid, it had quite a bit to much and was bubbly on the top of the dipstick. So i plan on getting a little out of there haha. do you think having to much fluid would cause something like this to happen? thanks! im about to look into trying some of your guys advice, thanks!
