Default 99 Durango Shelby Clock Spring

Hi All,

I have a '99 Durango Shelby 4x4 that has a bad clock spring. The dealer is saying that the Shelby has a special clock spring that has since been discountinued. He has located one but it is a few days away.

Does anyone know if the Shelby uses a special clock spring? It seems like it would be the standard '99 clock spring with the steering wheel controls and cruise.

Thanks in advance!

James

Well, scratch that. I decided to take a shot at repairing the clockspring myself using instructions I found on this site. Took the housing off from below the steering wheel and noticed that the wire clip that connects all of the steering wheel controls was disconnected! Connected it and we are back in business!
