I must have beefier hooks on my chain than you guys. Mine won't fit in the slots in the cross member. I don't like wrapping a rope around it either, when pulling it presses against my lower core support. Id love to find a set of tow hooks for it that don't look wimpy

Go to towing supply online. The tow rates for the chains are listed. Bigger is not always stronger. This chain I found is right at cappacity. Not a Yank strap. But this is the factory tow hook location that all tow truck companies should use not around anything else.
