hello i'm back....So i checked all my sensors, fuses and anything else that goes to the PCM and they all check out fine but i talked to a mechanic online and he promises me that it is the PCM so im going to go ahead and get a PCM from the junk yard but i don't know what to look for. My part number is P56040106AE but what if the numbers are the same but the letters are not???

you cant use a junkyard unit bc it has the have the correct features and VIN# flashed into it in order for the truck to fire and run its an anti-theft device

however the letters on the end of the part# are simply a manufacturer code on all chrysler part numbers

The last letter at the end of the numbers denotes the version. The higher in the alphabet the letter the newer the version of programing.

The vin # does not have to be flashed into the PCM for the engine to fire but the security or non-security has to be present and must match up with your vehicles' programming.

the fsm says that if there is a vin mismatch the engine will not run, if you dont have it flashed you are taking your chances, you have been warned in advance

I have a spare BG Flashed PCM for my '01 RT with no vin match to my truck whatsoever and it will fire up every time with absolutely no problems at all. Where you'll run into problems would be during state inspections if the vin didn't match.

Talking Updated post

Back again. I finally got the no bus to go away. I looked under my D and disconnected the tranny connector and the connector it self was burned through which made EACH wire on the connector touch each other. I had it sitting for over a year and it was a freaking wire the whole time. Anyways i'm glad I found out what was wrong with it, now i'm mobile again. Thanks for all the help everyone.
