Exclamation New shocks, Same old noise?

I just replaced my front shocks and front passenger side CV Joint...before I'd hit any bumps and a I would get screeching noises and severe un-balanced wobble on my front end (even worse in cold weather)(and occasionally when braking to quickly) Well I just had them replaced and alignment fixed and am now still getting same noises under same conditions, with the exception that everything in much smoother...What am I missing?

Sounds to me like a wheel bearing. Just replaced mine and it did exactly what yours is doing

those symptoms do NOT match up with bad shocks (they may have been bad too)

i would check ball joints first, although an alignment shop should have picked up a bad set.

ok, how exactly though am I to tell whether any of the ball joints are good or bad? should I just get them all replaced for the upper & lower arms?

you could, but i would be checking them for play, jack up the truck and grab the tire at 6 and 12 and try to wiggle the tire in/out, if it moves your ball joints are loose, try using a crow bar or pry bar to move the tire to get a little bit more leverage.
