Is there any way i can convince someone to measure their shackles for me? I plan on fabbing my own up at work and i would like to know the height of them so i know what to make mine to be the right lift.

Not to sound mean but take your stock length center to center and add 3". If your up to the task of building them yourself more power to ya, but all you need is a 3" drop/lift shackle for $50. Remember to add angle shims to readjust driveline angle.

Thats what i was thinking. I just wasn't sure if the angle of the shackle would cause the length to differ. I do fab work constantly at work and i do feel up to the challenge.

Side note what do you mean angle shims?

They are wedges in degrees to bring back driveline angle. They fit between axle and spring. You may or may not need them. Just check Driveshaft angle before and after. It will help with u -joint life. My axle is on the bottom of spring with the 6" lift.

Remember that with shackles you only increase the lift of the vehicle by half of the extra length in the shackle. For instance, you add 3 inches to your shackle, you only lift the vehicle 1.5 inches. This is because you are only extending one side of the spring.

That was my main concern with adding just the amount of lift i wanted. so if i want a 3" lift i need to add 6"
