Default Who's Replaced Their Rear-Hatch Shocks?

Mine have lost most of the holding power, especially when it's cold. Has anyone found a thrifty source for replacements?

Thanks folks!

I just did the ones on my Shelby using these:

Amazon Amazon

Price was good and free shipping as well. What a difference it made!

same here. Make sure you have a helper hold the gate up for you when you're replacing them

I used a step ladder with a stack of books to hold mine up while I replaced the lifts. I just kept adding books until the gate was fully opened. Worked pretty well.

Wow! Sweet guys! Thanks! I've used RockAuto for a number of parts I needed in the midst of restoring my old bimmer (BMW). They're fast, affordable and parts seem durable. I got some control arms and tie rods from them.

What part number did you use on the buyers from RockAuto?

Thanks!

I replaced mine on my shelby sp360sc last year....got them from amazon.com...they were dorman brand. Fit perfect. I replaced them by myself in less than 15 min. Insure you have allen wrenches(forgot what size). I just used a 2X4 to keep the hatch open. Remove and replace one at a time. Think the dormans from amazon were $39 for the pair.
