Default Transmission surges after shifting.. light throttle

My 99 5.9 has started surging when shifting 1-2, 2-3 with a light throttle. If I give it more gas it goes away. Any idea what could cause this?

start by checking the trans fluid level (check w/ engine hot and running in nuetral on level ground)

if the fluid level is good, then the next check is the TV or kickdown cable being out of adjustment, the FAQ has a PDF for how to adjust it properly

and the last thing is a clogged filter, do a fluid and filter change using only atf+4 fluid, and adjust the bands, these are the most common causes of shifting issues.

+1 fluid check and the throttle cable adjustment, I would add maybe a TPS sensor too.

Also a transmission output sensor could be the issue but I'm thinking the forward bands are out of adjustment. Also check the fluid level ensuring the truck is parked level and engine running in Neutral parking brake engaged and check the dip stick.

Took it to Cottman trans and the trans is fine.. the problem is engine related.. fuel injectors?
