Default Transmission Swap Question

Will a transmission from a 04 Dakota Sport 4x4 4.7L be a direct swap for me (02 Durango SLT 4x4 4.7L)?

According to everything I have read, that specific model 04 Dakota had the 545RFE.

My 02 Durango, according to the Window sticker, has the 545RFE also.

They both used the same engine and transmission so you should be good to go.. Worse case you may need the transmission control module from the 04 but, being the same trans maybe not. i would get it just in case.

it will bolt up correctly just fine, you may have to swap out some of the sensors for yours in order to work correctly

the TCM on the 04 dak is part of the PCM so you cant grab that controller to go with it, although chances are they are one unit in your truck too so you will most likely be fine with all the sensors even

Picked it up this AM, looked good.

29K original miles on it from an 04 Dakota. The guy just used the truck to run around town every once and a while, that's why the low miles. He rolled the truck after a hard days work, but was a-ok!
