Default Transmission Issue?

Maybe you can diagnose my 2002 Durango 2x4. This only happens first thing in the morning when the car has no time to warm up. Jump in and go kind of thing.

I put the car in gear and give it a little gas and the car acts like the transmission is a sleep. The amount of throttle does not correspond to the movement of the vehicle. This all goes away after 15 seconds of driving.

Transmission? Rear Differential?

most likely it a case of low transmission fluid causing low pressure build up.

the other option is a partially clogged trans filter which isnt letting the pressure build up rapidly enough the solution is to change the fluid and refill the pan w/ ATF +4 ONLY
