Help Identify This Intake
I just bought my Durango off a 2nd hand dealership last month. Yes, I know, not the smartest idea, but I got a good deal on a clean truck with low miles.
Anyway, this intake was on the truck when I got it. I have no idea who makes it, and if this is the way it is to look. Should I keep it or replace it? Also, should I change the filter on it, and what brand to go with?

Looks like it came off another type of vehicle. I would think a CAI wouldn't be routed to suck in hot air from the exhaust manifold. Can you find any numbers stamped on it or etched in the tube? If so, put that number in Google and add the words Cold Air Intake.

nothing....all smooth, no writings, etchings, etc.
I tried doing some research, and did find that a "Short Ram Intake" (not "cold air intake) is usually just a smaller intake and from the pics I seen, all usually near the manifold somewhat, like mine is.
Since it's unidentifiable, im wondering if I should put a K&N on.
