noHowever I bought a 2000 SLT 4x4 5.9L with leather and the3rd row etc for $12975 + tax and doc. haven't had any real problems form the truck itelf but the crash i had 3 weeks after purchase have made for some problems. Looks like a good ride I hop you like it. I love mine.

 

I do not think the 4.7's were offered on the 2000 models. 2000 models had either a 5.2 or a 5.9 litre engines.

Check the interior of your Durango, if your rear A/C is not mounted on top of the ceiling just behind the front seats, then your Durango is a 2001 model.

 

Mine is most definitely a 4.7l, and is also a 2000.

I went ahead and bought it today. I'm in love.

And my rear A/C is mounted on the ceiling directly above my head.

Just be vigilant and constantly monitor the oil on your Durango and you should be a-ok. Change your oil every 3-5k and use synthetic. If you do this and still see signs of sludging, better check and monitor your anti-freeze levels to make sure there is not an internal anti-freeze leak.
