Hi guys, hope I am doing this right. Haven't been here in a good while. I have a steady whine from rear on accel and decel from about 20 mph on up and down. Sounds like a jet taking off. I pulled off diff cover and don't see any wayward metal so I don't think anything is actually chewed up but dayem it is loud. My thoughts are carrier bearing or axle bearings because I don't think the pinion would make noise on decel but I could of course be wrong about that. Can somebody please steer me through a method that will point out how what the culprit is?
