Default Please help! Installed new brakes on 99 now tic tic tic

Today I replaced the rotors and pads on my new to me Durango. The previous owner stripped the caliper bolts on the passenger side and used rtv to put back together! Anyhow got everything fixed and installed, went for a break in lap which was going fine then I hear a tic tic tic that is speed dependent. The thing I noticed is the passenger side seems to be hotter than the drivers and im pretty sure its the drivers side ticking. Before I go rip everything off anyone have an idea?

I just got done installing a belt tensioner, idler pulley and belt, new shocks all around, iac and evap purge solenoid, and fuel pump. Truck has 209k on it and now runs pretty good :-) Thanks for any advice!

Asking before you take it off again? Go take it off again, and properly repair the striped holes while there. Sometimes the brake hanger (where the caliper mounts) is a bolt on piece that can be replaced. ...Another approach is using a helicoil.

Sorry, my mis-read. I thought it was you who used the RTV, wondered how that would work. As for the noise, I'm sure you will see/hear it when you jack up the corner and spin the wheel.

So after taking everything apart it looks like the corner of the heat shield was just close enough and since I installed slotted rotors that was the tic... Now if I can fix the low millage and lack of power in the midrange I would be thrilled!
