Default 03 durango tranny help me plz

ok, where to begin...my fuel pump went out, replaced it and ran fine till later that night it overheated a little and shut off, found no water in the reserve, no water at all. i added water and anti freeze, ran fine but it would run hotter than usual, during this period of me driving it around with the heat problem the transmission went into limp mode and would not shift at all. starts up in 3rd gear and will only stay in that gear, i got the general p700 code and a few other codes indicating all the shift solenoids. Eventually i got around to fixing the overheating problem, pulled both heads and changed gaskets there was a leak on the passengers side. my question is what went wrong with the transmission to cause it to stop shifting. from reading the forums i know it could be the pcm, since my model year does not have a separate tcm, what im not sure of is wether or not it has a transfer case control module or even a transfer case since its only 2wd...any insight greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jesse

I would find it rather strange for a car with no transfer case, to need a computer controlling the transfer case that it doesn't have.
