Default Odd heater blower motor issue

Hello all,
So today my durango got an odd problem. When I remote start the rig at the begining of the day the heater turns on perfectly but if I stop somewhere then come back out the blower motor will not turn on at all but if I leave it for awhile it will work again when I remote start. And it does it even if the motor is cold. Anyone have any advice on where to start with this? Also where is the blower motor resistor located on this vehicle?
-Thanks
E.J.

Sounds like bad brushes in the motor to me.

Is it true that to replace the blower motor you have to remove the entire dash? This sounds ridiculous to me. Shouldnt I just be able to lower it out of the dash?

Also where is the resistor in the '99 Durango?

Not sure on the resistor but yes you have to pull the dash. The blower its mounted in the heater box assembly that is bolted to the firewall.
