Please help this is bad
forgive my english is not my native languaje
Please help this is really bad i think , ok im a newbie and trying to learn stuff
ok I have a durango 2001 4.7 yesterday me and my cousing were checking my truck and i found lots of dirt and stuff on my coolant reservoir, so i went to autozone to buy a flush to wash and refill new and clean coolant , the travel was like 4 miles long go and back , when i was on autozone my truck was like vibrating a little , i didnt pay to much atention ,on the way back i was very close to my house like half mile on a very crouded street ,there was an uphill and then i hear a weird sound , opened the windows and OMFG it was like a really old truck and smeel like burnt plastic , and it was MEEEE it sounded really bad like my truck was leaving pieces on the road, something like-- rakshik rakshik rakshik ---check my gaujes and the oil presure was really low like below third part ,i just stoped and the car , it was really dark and there was me , no lamp , no tools , no cleaners or anhything onboard, i just open the hood and was hot not like inferno but was hot but i couldnt see anything because was so dark and all i had was my cellphone , i was so close home and yet so far , i tried to find something , check my oil and it was full check down and no leaks , and i was like what the hell , trying to find a mechanic on the phone with no luck , and tons of cars avoiding me and swearing at me for being there on the way ,i tried to start the engine again and it was reaaaallly vibrating , and like choking ,i just turn it off inmediatly not even 3 seconds, again i tried to find somebody to help a mechanic a relative or anything , and there was complety alone sunday night on the middle of a croaded road, on my stupidity i thought that if there was no oil on the valvlves i should just put a little for lubrication and go home , there was like an hour and half since i stopped and was really cold outside 10C my sis came on my rescue, and i put half bottle of the oil , start the engine , and it started with no sounds and no vibration , i went home without pushing the gas just on D , my oil pressure went up a little and then started go down really slow , reach home and i had light and some tools ,opened again the hood , and something sounded like it was boiling,so i had to check
THE HORROR , the radiator cap was loose, opened it, NO F*** COOLANT nothing , checked the reservoir , complety dry , just a poddle on the very bottom , it appears my cousing didnt push all the way the cap and leave it lose , and i drove it 4 miles spilling ALL my coolant (it was full when i leave the house) , the last 1 mile without any and sounding like it was coming apart
so now , what should i do? , what should i check , how can i know if there is serious damage ,when i put the oil and started, it started normally without any sound but it was probably cause the motor got cold, i take care of my truck and i love it so much , i was planing to change my oil and wash my radiator , paint my calipers and some other stuff and now i dont know , did my engine blew? , how can i know?, what and where should i check for know everithing is ok or if there is damage on any part , or is dying my very beloved durango?, some advise please?

First thing to do is verify all your fluids. Drain the engine oil and check to see if it is milky white at all. If there is any milky white in your engine oil it means there is coolant in the oil and that's either a blown head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block. The oil should be either clear tan if it's new or dark brown / black if it's been in use for a while.
Rule out the coolant first. Then you can refill the engine with oil and coolant and watch for any leaks or dropping fluid levels.
After the engine is back to normal, I would recommend you perform two tests, a compression test per cylinder, and a leak down test per cylinder. Local parts stores usually have the tools you need to do this. If all your cylinder pressures are normal and if you have acceptable leak down rates, then you may be in the clear regarding gasket and cracks.
Then I would feel safe starting it and watching it run through it's warmup cycle. If it gets up to operating temp, and the fluid levels and pressures are normal at idle and all fluid levels are normal, take it for an easy and short test drive. If it makes it, I'd say you're okay and you just need to drive carefully and watch it closely...making sure to constantly check and watch the fluid levels.

Hi there , thanks for the help , i had a lot of work cheking everything , and flushing my cooling system and fixing stuff i found and it somerwhat was working good BUT now new problem appears, please help again , my oil is acting funny , the thing is that i used a gunk motor flush , and it came out really dirty so i put fresh new oil new coolant , some steel seal as preventive, start the engine , and all good ,good temp , good oil presure , good readings, take it to the road , and all good , and then i went to highway to an emergency i had , and the nightmare again , my oil presure went to the basement , only the fifth part (never go more down) , i was thinking maybe my pickup screen got clogged , stoped , but i was far from home so started it again when it was cold , so my oil presure went up again , i moved some miles , and then went down again , but i realized that only go down when i didnt push the gas ,and when i push the gas it goes up again, so i take it to a "expert" and he told me it was my oil , cause i put it 10-30 and it need it 20-50 cause it have 80 000 miles, so i change again my oil to a 20w-50 , and put it some lucas oil stabilizer on it , that thing is really heavy , so i started again i went to higway , 10 miles later , there was a stop , and again my oil pressure to the fifht part , and when i push the gas , went up again what can this be? , a clogged pickup screen, or my oil pum is dying? something else? i cant take down my oil pan , there is so many stuff on the way , and my manual says i need to lift the engine , i dont have a lifter and is really expensive only for an oil pan , can i take down my tires brakes and stuff? has anybody did this job like that? or is only by lifting the engine? , or is my oil pump dying? the motor flush maybe damage it? what should i check for this symptoms, please some advice i forgot , my oil only go down when my oil is hot , when is cold , by like 4 miles or really cold nights ,is always up, only when i go 5 miles or more and my oil gets hot , my pressure go down if i dont push the gas

A flush won't kill an oil pump. True, an oil pump can wear out, but very unlikely with your low miles. First off, don't panic yet. Something rather cheap and easy to do is to check the oil pressure with a secondary mechanical oil gauge. You can get them at local parts stores, and using a fitting, you can tap into a port near the oil filter. Then read the oil pressure on that gauge and compare it to the one in the cabin.
If the two gauges read different, I would suspect the oil pressure sender is bad. It's cheap to replace, and it's back next to the distributor. Not the easiest to get to but much easier than pulling the oil pan to replace a pump that might be fine.
Start with checking oil pressure. If you don't feel right doing that, a garage or shop should be able to do that easily. They can also assist with the sender if that's the case.
Obviously if the mechanical gauge reads low pressure, then the easiest way is to lift the engine, pull the pan, clean the screen, and possibly replace the pump.
