Default Hankook Tires Ventus ST RH06 Tires

Welp, it's that time now where I am approaching 60k miles on my BFG Long Trail Touring T/A's and will have to replace them before my October inspection as the treads will not pass inspection. I have been a loyal BFG owner for the past 20 years. Love their durability, reliability and price.

The cheapest price to replace with same BFG long trail touring t/a's at your local area is Sam's Club at $164 plus $15 install ea.

Then surfing the web, I came across these Hankook tires. I like the tread design and these are V rated for speed so I assume these should be much better handling tires than the BFG's T-rated speed and the tires come with a 50k miles life vs the 60k miles life on the BFG's. 50k mile life is pretty outstanding for a V rated tire.

The Hankook tire is cheap too. $131 per tire online plus $97 s/h if I buy 4 tires.

Tell me what you think of these Hankooks? I know the hankook may outperform the BFG's at handling and speed, but my main concern is ride comfort, low noise, and fuel economy (rolling resistance).

Right now, with gas prices possibly reaching new records this coming spring/summer, I may have to opt for the hankooks because they are cheaper. But want to make sure I made the right choice in moving away from the BFG's to these tires.

I went to several places where they had at least over a 100 users reviewing this tire and all of those places average almost 4 out of 5 stars.

I guess I will just have to give these tires a try even tho I will lose 10k miles of tread life but will love the tires been v-rated so it will stick my truck on the road like glue.

I did, the BFG Long trail, cheapest local place is Sams. I don't want to buy online and deal with warranty if something happens to the tire. After shipping costs, price is almost the same as the local dealer.

So I may just give these Hancooks a try.
