Hey guys I have to replace the fuel pump on my D I have the tank removed I got the new Pump from Rock Auto.But not sure how to remove the metal ring from the top of the tank?Any help please.thanks I am also trying to find the filler and vent hose I had tocut them to remove the tank.

 

why would you cut the filler neck and vent tube. you should have unbolted them from the fuel tank they do come off they have two clamps that should have released the hoses. as far as the metal ring it comes off in a counterclockwise position use a flat head and a hammer and carefully twist it off. FYI there is a locking tab on there. good luck with that

 

Thanks the hoses were stuck on there I had to order the big hose from napa.
