I have a 2001 5.9L with Magnaflow exhaust and a cone filter. I want to partially enclose the filter and direct the airflow to mainly come from the fwender area. What have people used to fabricate this... aluminum, stainless steel, plastic? I'm going to also use heat tape to wrap the intake tube to reduce intake temperature. I would appreciate any ideas for the heat shield. Thanks.
