Default Factory Alarm

So A couple weeks after getting my Durango, the alarm started going off occasionally. It has the factory alarm based off the build sheet, but did not come with an original key or key fob (i recently found a replacement fob at a junkyard but it hasnt been programmed yet). About half the time I unlock the drivers door with the key and try to open it, the alarm will go off. I dont know anything about alarms or how this one is supposed to work(and I dont have the factory manual). Maybe I am doing a sequence wrong and everything is working correctly and it is supposed to be going off? I am sure my neighbors are tired of hearing my alarm go off, so any help is appreciated.

As I understand it locking with the remote sets the alarm and unlocking with the remote turns it off. Theres a door locking and unlocking sequence to reset the alarm that I don't remember, this might help too.
