Default Exhaust Question

I've got a 99 durango with the 5.9L v8. I want it to sound more aggressive when I get on the gas so I was wondering if i should get a full exhaust system or just get the muffler and exhaust tip? I already have a K&N CAI installed

The factory cat is a high flow to begin with so you don't need to worry about that. I've got a Magnaflow cat-back on mine. It's 3" stainless steel pipe with a 3.5" polished stainless tip. It sounds great when you step on it (without being obnoxiously loud) and it doesn't drone.

The best thing you can do is go on youtube and search for Durango exhaust and listen to some various setups to see what you like.

Whatever the size of your pipe is. I think the factory pipe was 2.5", but you should double check that.

Ive got a shelby durango and we have the flowmaster 40 on ours..like rango said, it does drone in the cabin alittle, but i too like it. That-guys magnaflow may be better suited for you. Ive got a youtube video posted of my shelby and you can hear the flowmaster 40 for yourself. Just type in Shelby Sp360sc Durango in the youtube search engine(3rd video down)...lowered blue shelby/no white stripes..rolling thru my townhouse complex in florida. The whine you hear is the procharger sc, then i rev the the motor a few times...youll hear the flowmaster 40.
