When the light on the switch is off, it is signalling that the master is locked. If you have replaced that with a new one, I would check the wiring because somewhere there is a short telling the other switches that they are locked out. If you used a used master, it too could be bad.

Yeah, when the lights in the switches are off it means there is no power to that window, and since they're all out I'd lean towards either the window lock-out switch (on the master switch) is bad or the wiring/connections to it are bad.

ok thanks. the windows will work when they want to. the lights you can't really see till it is dark outside but I have also noticed that when they are lit you will press the button and they will go out and stay out for a while then come back on.

you probably have a bad connection or a short somewhere. Check all of the connections at the master switch and the other door switches too.

now just saying if it was a short how hard would it be to fix it. havn't had time to check it yet as it is the wifes car and she is never home long enough for me to look at it.
