Unhappy Idle Control Valve Problems

I just replaced the Idle control valve on my 5.9L Durango. After replacing it I also reset the computer. Now it starts but it is idling at almost 1600 RPMs, I know this is not normal. I went to go get the code scanned and its giving off a p0505. I called the dealer they said if you drive it for about 10 miles it should just correct itself. I have done that, and still nothing. Any ideas?

I have a 5.2 98 durango with the same situation . I didn't get it scanned , but I heard the same thing . I am going to double check for vacum leaks and drive it some more . If you figure it out , please post how you fixed it or maybe someone else has the answer .

Nevermind just read you reset the computer. Driving it some could get the computer to re-learn things again, but there's probably something else going on.
