Weird problem
Hi, new to the forum and mopar's in general. Bought a 2002 Dodge Durango, 4.7, 4x4 and I'm assuming has the 4spd auto trans.
Problem, when you have it in park or neutral you can rev the motor fine, put it in gear and it doesn't rev, hesitates then will go, repeats everytime you stop, will stall when you come to a stop. So far replaced the plugs, cps, IACV and checked the tps which was clean. I'm tring to figure out what else would cause this and can't find much info on the problem/fix. Battery was just recharged due to leaving the interior light on so I know it has a good charge. I'm a GM guy myself and my original thought was dirty fuel filter because I'm use to seeing a external filter which I know isn't the case and really don't want to drop 200+ on a new unit for it not to be the problem. I had a cel but after the IACV no cel. I did hear a rattle in the exhaust sounding like something was hung up and will be dropping the muffler tomorrow to see if the cat is starting to come apart and a chunk got lodged somewhere but doing think that would be the problem. Any incite would be greatly appreciated.
