I took a little driving video with the lights last night.

Got some better pics today since it finally stopped raining for the first time this week.

The duplicates are non-hdr then hdr versions of the same pic.

Since my headlights got broken when I got hit in May, I needed to rebuild them. Instead of getting another set of aftermarket lights I decided I like the OEM style 2 piece better, so I just went ahead and used the clear lens ones I already had. The projectors, bulbs, and ballasts all survived, so all I had to buy was new shrouds for the projectors.

I was going to cut sheet metal to make brackets for the projectors, but was lucky enough to find a box of pre-cut aluminum.

I slotted some brass screws that way I could loosen and tighten the screws from the outside of the lights in order to adjust the projectors.

Brackets done. The slots allow for vertical, horizontal, and rotational adjustment of the projectors in addition to the factory adjustment screws.

I did have to trim the bracket some to clear the projector. I did clean up the cuts afterwards.

Trimmed the shrouds to fit inside the housing.

Test fitting everything in the lights.

Went outside and parked my truck facing the garage door so that I could test fit and aim the lights.
I fired up the halogens to get a reference.

HID projector (still needed aimed) on the left, halogen (and yes it's on) on the right. What a difference.

Projectors aimed.

Lights lit up.

Light output of the projectors. They shine further, wider, and brighter in person, my phone's camera just doesn't pick it all up.

They're aimed fairly well apparently, the light cutoff was right and the bottom of the hood on my dad's car...

...and is below the windshield and mirrors too.

Daytime pictures.

I also did a little experiment with the oem halogens while I was stuck inside because of the rain. I fired up my halogens (oem fluted lens with no hazing and new silverstar ultra bulbs) and had my brother fire up one of his 7" halogen sealed beams. Both bulbs were in low beam mode and running from the same power supply. His sealed beam is on top and my halogen light was on the bottom.

I figured it was just the usual 2" drop at 25', but you can go ahead and send them to me.

I just set the left to right aim so that the step of the cutoff is straight ahead, but I'm interested to see what the Dodge procedure is. I do have an FSM and the owners manual if it's already in there, but it won't hurt to have a digital copy too. Thanks.
