Default Valve cover replacement 1999 5.9 Driver

Hey everyone, I have search the forums and the internet and cannot find any info on valve cover replacement. I seem to be running into issues removing a wiring harness connection in the PDC(power Distribution Center). If anyone knows how else to remove the valve cover without disconnecting the wiring harness I would love to know how. I am really just trying to replace the valve cover gaskets but a removal process seems necessary in order to do so.

Thanks for any and all the help.

there should be diagrams and instructions in the FSMs. (<-that's a link to them)

So I was able to change the gasket. I had to remove the wiring harness from the PDC, along with the positive and negative connections prior to being able to remove the valve cover. Once it was removed I used a razor blade to clean the surface on the head and then wiped it down with some paper towels re installed everything and now it seems to be smoking .

I have let it run to normal operating temp then shut it down twice now and seems to keep smoking. What would you guys suggest I check? I snugged all the bolts down fairly tight, in a adjacent pattern.

I was really unable to find the procedure with the FSM
