Default Ouch!

Hello over there!

Thought I would give you all something to think about next time you fill up...

Over here (in sunny England) you can expect to pay up to £1 per litre, thats £4.20 per gallon. So if you have one of those lovely gas guzzling durango's (which I am currently hoping to get shipped over here (to sunny England)) then you could pay upto £120 per tank... and thats just regular!

I've got a fairly big car (by our standards) which costs about £65 to fill up and that makes me cry I used to have a tiny little French thing (I know, poor me), in fact, you have probably never heard of it before... anyway, that used to cost about £20 to fill up ($12 ish). But then with a top speed of only 75mph you wouldn't expect to need any more.

Just thought I would let you all know how lucky you are.

Hello over there! It's about bloody time I even heard of a Durango going to England! LOL

Americans love the fact that we are not the "norm" of the world and we don't have to compare things about America to other parts of the globe, that is what makes this country so great! I am sorry to hear about how expensive it is. I always heard about it being a lot over there....

Let us know how your Durango quest goes!!

There are a few Durango's over here, not many though. The few that are for sale are way above US market price, hence I want to ship it over myself. Even after the £3,000 shipping and tax bill I still would have saved the best part of another 3K. Check this link to a UK used car sales site. To give you an idea £25,000 is about $18000.

Damn, I miss Caroll Shelby Dodge Specials! I think that was the last Dodge vehicle that had his special touch to it before the SRT team took over!! Supercharged 360 hooked up to a part time 4WD tranny! I cannot remember the quarter mile times but it's fast for its time for a SUV/Truck.

how much does that translate to when converted to U.S. Dollars? 15k miles is very low and barely driven! I wonder if this Shelby has the 3rd row seats? I did not see them from the pics. Just some cargo cover.

Thats like 18K. But its all proportional so to me its still 25K which is the price of a 1998 Porsche 911 RS! Not sure about 3rd seats. Still, with or without them I bet it shifts some what better than my 2.0L Peugeot.

I'm hoping that by Jan I should be in a possition to ship one over. I'd love an R/T but after shipping and customs have taken their bit I'm down to about 8KUSD left for the vehicle, and since I want one thats in good condition with full speck its like finding a needle in a haystack. There is one seriously nice one which I found on ebay which is about perfect for me, but alas, not until January. So, Mr Dealer, if your reading this... will you take an I.O.U?
