Sputter/bogs down on initial acceleration
'02 Durango 4.7l. After it sits for 30 minutes/an hour it will start up fine but the initial acceleration out of our drive and it bogs down/sputters. It almost sounds like it's going to stall - vehicle chugs/sputters - but we just give it more gas and it comes out of it's sputtering (and we have to let off the gas quick so we don't jump forward) and the rest of our drive it's fine - even when we stop and go and susbsequent lights/stop signs. No gas smell, no other issues except for a p0441 I've been working on for a while (gotta save up $ for a few parts).
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hmmmm - I've done some work on my cars/trucks (replaced starters, alternators, plugs, TPS) but never replaced/fixed a TC. That would probably go beyond my abilities. Dang.
I was hoping it might be some kind of fuel delivery issue, but the pump doesn't sound bad or like it's going out and the injectors have been recently tested / replaced one bad one.
Would a bad TC throw a CEL?

I am accually dealing with a lag from first start like you are as well only difference is mine don't clug like your does... just have to rev up the engine to 1500-2000 rpms to get it moving once it hits 10-15 mph it acts/shifts fine.
For me it means a complete overhaul including a new TC. I am having it mostly done by a shop because i have come to terms with the fact that i have become of age where some automotive repair jobs are beyond my physical ability. For you, my best advice would be to find a shop that will look at it and give an opinion for free or low cost. Yours is a 2002, different trans than mine and you also have a Transmission Control Module with yours, that may very well be causing it also. Your truck sounded like what mine is doing so i thought i would offer my solution as a thought.
