Exclamation Squeaky noise & check engine light

I have a squeaky noise that sounds like it's coming from my right front side. It only happens when driving forward, if I turn either direction it goes away. My first thought was the control arm bumpers but both are bad. Can't be that. My next thought was when my school did my brakes for me they noticed a loose caliper slide pin. Could that be a possibility for the reason this noise is happening?

Also my check engine light was on for the past few days. I did the off to start 3 times trick and got p code p0442 which relates to the evap canister small to medium leak. I replaced the battery last night and the light doesn't come on. Is it possible that I either reset it or that the sensors weren't getting enough voltage to read properly?

Check you gas cap.

Problem could be a sway arm bushing or other. Spray one at a time until you find the issue with some spray silicone. Then remove, lube, and replace.

Slide pin? Well, they might not have tightened it down correctly.
