There have got to be some environmental or other factors at play with the distance. Sometimes mine will work from around 40 yards away, other times it will only work from 15 feet away.

 

Possibly. I just know it worked. Didn't try it until a friend told me to, as he went to lock his also. Sure enough, it did.

I'll have to try that too. Putting on my temple definitely works for me though too. The remote to my mom's golf won't even work if you actually touch it to the car sometimes, but if I put it against my temple it works from about 10 yards away.

 

Were all going to find out someday we have brain tumors from holding our door remotes to our temples.

with fresh batteries, my remote can actually reach the durango up to 100 ft away in clear line of sight. Otherwise about 50 feet if there are vehicles around my truck.

I did find out that if you put your remote against any part of your face it will extend the range. Also, I would put out my hand and make a t symbol with my remote being vertical and against the palm of my hand in horizontal position and it will extend the range.
