Speaking of photos... unlike your present sig shot, maybe get one with less sky and ground (so it doesn't needlessly lengthen threads, I have sky and ground where I live, seen that part) and maybe all of the truck, without the grill clipped off?

^^ it's not that big of a deal

With it being that hot with the a/c on and just the mechanical fan that sounds normal for idling, but it should go back towards 180 while driving. In 2000 they added an auxiliary electric fan to help with the a/c so that the temp wouldn't be so high while idling. I went ahead and replaced my mechanical fan completely with a high flow electric one.

This is where mine normally sits (I have a 180 thermostat too)

Yes it drops while driving I searched for e fans and sounds like the Taurus ppl like ,because I was just going to spend the money and be done with it since I had it all tore down think summit had a 3700 or 4000 cfm single fan a
lot of dual fans were to big for or our rads

I went with the taurus fan and a dakota digital controller for mine.

Passenger's side brackets.

I slotted the ends of the bolts that go through the fan shroud so that I can tighten them with the fan in place against the radiator. This was necessary because the brackets have to swing in to maneuver the fan into place.

Driver's side brackets. I did tighten that bottom bolt after I took the picture, I just missed it at first.

What do you mean Dakota digital controller? I'm planning on doing the Taurus Efan swap and get rid of the mechanical one as well, would rather use a controller than a switch that I have to manually switch on

Ps: sorry to thread jack
