Default PCV help

Ok I have a 2001 4x4 with a 4.7. I am trying to find the damn PCV valve and it isn't where they said it should be (next to the oil filler pipe). I can only find what looks like a PCV valve. It's on the right side in the back (next to the fire wall) connected to the top of the engine right behind the last sparkplug. The hose T's off from the intake pipe (K&N Cold air intake) and runs to the back to what looks like the PCV valve (a straight piece not an elbow) and then a small bit of hose connected to a fitting.

Sorry for my ignorance but there is nothing on the valve cover that remotely looks like the PCV Valve unless I am wrong about what a valve cover is...
