Still sounds like a bad connection to me. Remove and clean the inside of the battery terminals and clean and tighten the grounds and also check the inside of the PDC. What I'm simply stating is check the wires REALLY good both ends. I've seen corrosion get the best of a cable right at the terminal where it transitions to the cable.

1998-1999 Durangos like to have clicking coming from the center dash (CTM) when they have a bad connection.
