Default Air Flow Sensor

Do we have such a critter? I'm curious as I'm about to replace the plugs because it's been over a year and usually in my former Ranger when I replaced plugs, I'd also use MAF cleaner on the sensor. I did a search here for MAF and then MAP but didn't get anything back so thought I'd ask those more knowledgeable than myself.

Thanks!

Went online to rockauto and they show a Manifold Pressure (MAP) Sensor for the 99!

I personally wouldn't replace them unless needed, too much $ to throw away unnecessarily. They also last a lot longer than a set of plugs generally.

No don't worry about it. Your older Ford has a sensor that monitors all the air flow that goes through the intake, these do not. It's done by a vacuum type sensor on the outside of the throttle body, and manifold sensor works on temp.

So there's no cleaning of buildup necessary anywhere in the intake emissions?

Clean the throttle body and the IAC, but that's about it.
