dodge ram to durango lets talk

Bushings, tie rods, ball joints both upper and lower (check if recall was performed), shocks, alignment, check brake rotors and pads (odds are they been shaved twice). Check CV half shafts - if boots torn then replace the whole unit (I would as unknown length of torn and what or how much Crap has been kicked up inside the unit). Also drain/fill the TC as that's often over looked
It adds up. I spent $1,500 on mine using quality parts.
His truck is at 117k miles so he's right there past that "100k life of parts".

Why(I guess you did say each ones preference)? With a little work you can make one of these take down a brand new one, they are a total sleeper. Also why wouldn't you go for a nv244 tc? That will have 2wd, awd, 4hi, 4lo so you have all the benefits. All the r/ts I've seen are awd, 4hi, 4lo. I have the older non electronic nv242 and love having the option of 2wd or awd. I hardly use 4hi, at that point I usually need 4lo.

Myself personally I rather have AWD over anything. My truck is just for road trips and rain/snow. I guess for someone who wants to do burn outs or worries about mpg could wish for 2wd option. But neither of those bother me.
Performance.. You won't get much power. If you can get new truck power out of your durango for $2,500 I'll be impressed. This is coming from driving a 2012 ram hemi for the last 7 months. A Nissan Titan prior to that. 07 Silverado LT...
After owning a 5.9 ram. 5.2 Ram. And my current bad weather 4.7 durango.
