My underbody is a little rusted and wanted to take some preventitive measures to make sure the suv is going to last, Just got it(2000 durango) and only has 96000 miles on it so lots of life left. but unsure what to do about the rust. Live in northern part of the country so rust tends to happen do to cold weather and lots of snow. but anything can do to minimize the effects and prior damage would be great to help keep going for another 100000 miles

 

Ive seen people buy spray cans of undercoating but I don't personally know if they do any good with the amount of salt we use on our streets up here.
