Depends, Infinity package had 2ohm speakers and these are hard to find. 4 ohm speakers sound neutered on this system. Up to 6 3/4" round fits in doors. Personally I would ditch the stock head unit/amp and upgrade to something more current. They do make adapters to allow you to still use the steering wheel controls with aftermarket stereos.

Speakers on the dash??

If you mean door panel they are probably tweeters up top, and 6x9 down.

This is what I got in my truck. I try to purchase all my car audio through buy.com (now rakuten.com) because they are always a significantly cheaper source and all my products to date have been new in box.

I did the amp "bypass" mod.. sounded much worse. This was being pushed by a higher end Kenwood stereo.

speakers (price per pair)

My first stop rather than here would be Crutchfield. They know every stock speaker in about every vehicle, and can tell you what will replace it.

Yeah I ditched all factory stuff and have a full polk system on a 5ch amp with JVC head unit. Sounds really nice. I have never seen dash speakers in a durango? I would definitely contact crutchfield. I have done business with them a couple times and they have excellent customer service and shipping at reasonable prices.

Only use crutchfield (online) for figuring out what size you need. However there prices are NOT reasonable. A fool to think so.

Do yourself a favor and shop around. Again, I got my gear from Buy.com. Those speakers I posted were listed for $300 on crutchfield. I got mine for $160ish on buy.com - which I was very skeptical being 50% off but factory sealed product so who am I to complain.

End of the day, shop around. I already did the hard work and found crutchfield to be the last place to ever buy anything from. But..suit yourself.

Yes, I agree you can save money elsewhere but Crutchfield customer service is awesome. Sometimes customer service can be a worthwhile extra cost.
