Ok this may or may not blow you mind....I have a 1998 Dodge Durango slt with the 5.2 the security system keeps getting tripped and the truck will not start unless a scanner is connected then it starts also When I connect my insurances indrive module it will start run and idle fine but as soon as you disconnect it it dies and when you try to start it again it goes into antitheft mode you can hear the fuel pump continually running and the relay for the auto shutdown clicking you have to get out and lock and unlock durango with key remote then it will start again.... any insight or ideas would be welcome and apreciated im already up to my chin in repairs on this thing just sunk 1500 in the front end suspension steering other wise ide pull the still under reman warrenty motor and trans out and find a nice D that needs a implant.. I am good with cars when it comes to electrical systems its japaneese to me...sorry for all the gramatical and spelling errors before I did the best to fix tthem posting from my S4

I think there are instructions on resetting the alarm in the diy/faq section. You might also want to disconnect the battery for a while to reset the computer. Clean the battery terminals and connections too while you're at it.
