2000 Dodge Durango p0753
My girlfriend and I just bought a 2000 dodge durango 5.9l v8. The first day we had it we drove an hour to our house and it drove fine. Shortly after getting back we took it to the autoparts store. On the way there it died at a stoplight. "NO BUS" read on the dash and the car wouldnt start. After pushing it to a parking lot, we waited a few minutes and it finally started back up. Took it to the store and had it ran on the computer. Came back with P0753. (3-4 shift solanoid relay condition) Now it hasnt happened again but it doesnt seem to be running right. It ran cold all the way home and right before it died, the temperature gauge got over halfway. Not sure if that had something to do with it or not. I would really like some help here on what to do. IE.. what to check and what to replace. As well as where to look. Im a recent dodge owner and have never worked on them before. Please help
All I can say about the "no bus" on the panel means the pcm is not communicating. I have seen this in the wild 3 times and every time the pcm needed to be rebuilt or replaced. Intermittently happening is hard to diagnose but I have heard this can mean there is a crack in the circuitry that expands when the engine compartment heats up and causes failure. Or could be bad pin in one of the plugs that plug into the pcm.
