Default Plowing with my Durango

Is there an after market plow set up for my Durango? If so, I'm told that it will trash my front end.Just want to plow my driveway, nothing else.Thoughts?

Short answer is yes there are kits out there for the truck, BUT the trucks are not designed to plow so you are correct that it will abuse and likely trash the front end.

Here is a link to a more thorough description in another thread: >>> https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...0-durango.html

If just your driveway you'll be fine. It's when doing commercial work that will trash the front end in a jiffy.

The weakest link on the durango is the front end. You can trash it just driving in a straight line at 5mph for 10k miles.

Thanks for the Input. I live in a wooded area so I pretty much drive "off-road" every day. When I replace lower ball joints and rack, most of front-end will be new. Thanks again, G.K.

G.K.,

Our parent company, Agri-Cover, makes the SnowSport line of snow plows: http://www.agricover.com/snowsport/

They're a little different from most plows. There are no hydraulics or electrical connections. It uses gravity and friction to engage when going forward and then it disengages when you back up. It mounts to a 2" receiver hitch (included with front-mount models) and it will mount to first-generation Durangos like yours.

Also, our plow is made of anodized aluminum with a rubber edge, so it weighs less than other plows.

If you're interested, take a look at our website. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
