Snow plow for 2000 Durango

The Durango is NOT designed to plow snow. Same with the Dakota. A few folks sell kits for the plow but the front end will be trashed.
How to test?
Take the cross bar out in front of the radiator. It's only like 3 bolts on both sides and slips up and out of the brackets on each side. Simply let the Durango sit over the weekend. Don't move it, don't do anything. After the weekend, put the bar back in.
What?
It doesn't fit? You need someone else to actually push the fenders outward just to replace the bar?
Exactly. The front box is NOT designed for anything outside of what is there. Add a plow to all that and you will basically collapse the entire setup.

there is a thread about this in the 2nd or third gen dakota section if you have your heart set on using this truck for the job, but keep in mind that if (ok when) stuff starts breaking it is not dodge's fault, they didnt really design these trucks for that
EDIT: here it is https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...he-dakota.html
im sure that would work on these trucks, but like that thread says, plowing is very rough on front ends

It's 82 here in Boston today. Guess I really don't need to worry about that snow plow just yet. But I really have no desire to be outside for hours with a snow blower, shovel, tractor, etc. when I can plow it in 10 or less minutos. Driveway's about 120ft long! Gonna be out there a while. Guess I just need to have more kids to get er dun quicker!
