2002 Durango front wipers will not shut off
Hey guys I have a 2002 Durango that the wipers will not shut off. Only was I can get them to shut off is to pull the fuse for them. I bought a new switch and a motor but did not get a relay. What is the most common for these to go bad?
Heres what I have done so far.. I have replaced the wiper motor, replaced the switch and also replaced the fuse even with all new parts they still come on with the switch in the "off" position and they will shut off when the key is in off position but will turn on in "ON" and "RUN" positions. I am really confused on this
ok was doing more work on it tonight I ran a direct ground from body of wiper to battery and still non stop wiping. Also noticed a yellow wire with a red stripe coming from under the fuse block is chewed in half but from what I have seen it does not go to the wiper motor or the relay but wondering if that is my issue?

But if you found one chewed up wire, there may be more. And I'd be concerned as to what is chewing the wires
It looks like a mouse was chewing on them. I will try fixing that and see if it helps. I talked with a few people and they are directing me to the CTM to replace it so I will see

Possible. But if a mouse got in (how?) and chewed one wire, chances are good that's not the only wire chewed up. Trace your wiring and fix any chewed wire. Also look for the hole the mouse or whatever got through, and fix it, otherwise this will happen again!
I made the mistake of assuming they meant the fuse block in the cab. The "fuse block" under the hood is the PDC, and is how I know it to be explained. My bad. However, if they mean under the hood, then I stand corrected, but if they meant in the cab, they might be wantin to look for a rust hole as there should be no holes in the cab for mice to be getting in through
